Remove Eyebags Naturally

July 23rd, 2010

Having eyebags is often the result of spending the night on the town, working too much or not getting enough sleep. Having bags under your eyes is especially frustrating if you want to be somebody who enjoys a perfect complexion. My bets are off and caused by issues with elasticity and collagen fibers in the skin around the eyes.

Puffy eyes, however, are often caused by the buildup of fluids under the eyes. Whether your problem is puffy eyes or bags under the eyes hereditary issues are often a major factor. Lifestyle may also play an important factor as well.

One natural remedy that has been discussed for many years for instant results is applying cucumbers to the eyes. Simply put sliced cucumbers on the skin for around 15 minutes. This will help with your puffiness but will not necessarily remove the eyebags. One way to help the puffiness is to not sleep on your back and to sleep with a thinner pillow. Another way to help with both the puffiness and the bags under your eyes is a very mild facial massage. Preferably, you can do this in the morning or just before bed.

Another common remedy that works quite well is to use organic tea bags. All you have to do is boil the water and put the tea bags in it. You can use either chamomile tea or regular black teabags. Remove the excess water from the teabags and place them over your eyes for about 15 minutes with your eyes closed. You should see a noticeable difference within a few minutes.

Another remedy is to use very thin slices of potato. Cut the potatoe into very thin slices. Place them under your eyes for at least 12 minutes. You should see a noticeable difference very fast.

If these methods don’t work to help you to remove eye bags then it might be time to consider surgery. The procedure basically gets rid of the fatty tissues of your eyes and makes it look a lot better. For this surgery only local anesthesia is necessary and it’s really not that big of a deal. However, it is recommended that you try all the natural remedies out there before you consider the surgery option.
