There are many causes of dark circles under the eyes including lack of sleep, too much eye rubbing, hereditary factors, aging too fast, lack or water in the system or dehydration and allergies. One of the most popular home remedies for getting rid of eye bags is to use tea bags. Basically, all you have to do is warm some water and put in two tea bags and allow them to steep for a few minutes.
After that take the tea bags out of the water and put them in the refrigerator overnight. Next lay your head back against a pillow. Put one tea bag over each eye until its coolness is gone. Repeat this process a few times.
The properties of the tea will help to reduce puffiness under your eyes.
Another popular remedy is to use slices of cucumber to help remedy the appearance of dark skin under the eyes. Make sure you slice the cucumber into very thin slices then put them over your eyes for about 15 minutes.
If neither of these remedies work then you might want to use makeup. What you’ll need to do is find a cream concealer with a great consistency. The makeup should should be two shades lighter than your actual foundation.
When you’re applying the makeup you can apply it with your ring finger because you never want to put too much pressure on this eye area as the skin is very delicate. You can also apply the makeup with a brush.
After applying your concealer you’ll need to set it with a very light powder.
Another way to help get rid of dark circles is with corrective color. If your circles are more blue in color you’ll want to use a yellow concealer. If your eye circles are more pink to red you’ll want to use a concealer with a red tone.
